I didn’t set out to be a web designer. I just wanted people to find my poodles.
When I launched Peterson Poodles, I poured everything into it: health-tested bloodlines, careful pairings, early enrichment, strong branding, and a sleek Squarespace site that I thought said it all. I had the story, the quality, the care, and I thought the polished look would speak for itself.
But again and again, families would say:
“We couldn’t find you online. We only stumbled across you on Facebook.”
That feedback stung, especially because I knew the work I was doing mattered. Then one family, who happened to run an IT company, told me plainly:
“You need SEO.”
That moment changed everything.
At the time, I was working full-time as a pediatric nurse practitioner, raising puppies, building my program, and learning branding on the fly. The idea of tackling search engine optimization felt like one more impossible thing to add to the list.
So, I outsourced it, only to find my website suddenly targeting toy poodle keywords, when I bred standard poodles. It didn’t reflect my vision. It didn’t align with my values. And worse, it was attracting the wrong audience.
So I rolled up my sleeves and did it myself.
I researched.
I rewrote.
I refined.
And in the process, I discovered Showit, a platform that let me finally design a site that felt like me. With my background in photography and visual storytelling, Showit was a natural fit. No coding. No rigid templates. Just creativity, flexibility, and real results.

Once I rebuilt my site using Showit, with aligned branding, intentional messaging, and a focused SEO strategy, everything changed.
✨ I started ranking on Google.
📥 Qualified leads filled my inbox.
🐾 Families were finding me because of my website, not in spite of it.
We pre-sold almost the entire litter before the puppies were ready to go home.
And when Facebook started penalizing breeder content, I wasn’t worried. I had built something more resilient than an algorithm, a foundation. A digital home for my program that I controlled.

Before I ever bred dogs or built websites, I served families as a pediatric nurse practitioner. That career taught me about care, trust, and consistency, principles I still carry into every corner of my work today.
But it was my dog, Roxie, who brought me back to dogs and breeding.
After losing my mom, Roxie was my steady place. She reminded me how healing, grounding, and transformative the bond with a dog can be.
That’s what pulled me back to breeding working dogs, and eventually to building websites for breeders like me.
Because here’s the truth:
You can have the best dogs in the world…
…but if your ideal families can’t find you, it doesn’t matter.
Boss Breeder was born out of that gap. I created it to help ethical, intentional breeders get seen online, and sell confidently without compromising their values.

A pretty website is great, but it won’t get you found.
At Boss Breeder, we blend design, strategy, and storytelling to help you:
Whether you’re using our Showit templates, booking a VIP Day, or going all-in with a custom build, you’ll walk away with a website that’s not just beautiful, but powerful.

At Boss Breeder, we believe that dogs aren’t just companions.
They’re healers. Guides. Family.
As breeders, we hold a sacred responsibility, to raise them with care, protect their legacy, and ensure they find the right homes.
So no, we’re not “just building websites.”
We’re building systems.
We’re building stability.
We’re building confidence.
And most of all, we’re building brands that last.
If you’re ready to stop blending in and start being found, explore our services, and let’s build something powerful together.
Let your website do the talking with a custom website designed for breeders by breeders.
We break down both options so you can confidently choose what fits your vibe (and your schedule).
If your site isn’t showing your value, it’s costing you buyers. Let’s make it work for you—not against you.
